Mcdonalds Killing Fish

Recently over the past few years i have notice an increasing amount of trash in the ocean. Sometimes this trash could be god depending on what type of trash it is. When it comes to wood scraps and other things that the fish can not eat actually is very productive for the ocean. Small fish can use this as protection witch leads to larger fishing hanging out it in hopes of catching a fish that strays away from the protection. Although this type of trash might be helpful there is also a lot of other kinds of trash that kills fish. This last trip we were off sure only about 30 miles trolling. While trolling we found a piece of wood so we decided to fish around in hopes of catching a dolphin that might be hanging out. Once we got close enough to the wood we saw that there was a fish floating in the water. We pulled up and it was a 31 inch dolphin. We pulled it into the boat to see how the fished had died. Once on the boat we saw that it had a McDonald rapper hanging out of its mouth. The fish much have thought it was a fish and once eating the rapper choked and died. This type of trash we all need to do our best to keep it out of the ocean. This is what i incountered this week.

Fresh Water

http://www.gofishmidwest.com/images/LargemouthBass.jpg

I have recently took an afternoon trip bass fishing in a fresh water lake. We didn't leave the house until about noon. We loaded up our 15 foot bass tracker and set out for the lake. I was using a bait caster with 20 pound test braided line. We were all using lures that sunk because of the cold weather. When fishing for bass in colder weather you have to make sure you fishing towards the bottom and you have to fish real slow. With the water being a little colder the fish tend to stay towards the bottom and move much slower. You have to give them a chance to hit the bait so you want to bring the lure in slow when reeling in. Over all we caught 10 bass but didn't keep any of them. I was a great day out on the lake and we all had lots of fun. Hope this was helpful.

Grouper

I am going to tell you about the fishing trip I took over the weekend for grouper. We left the dock at 5 am and pushed 22 miles off shore. Once getting to the hole we wanted to fish in we dropped our lines. After only a few minutes of fishing my dad got hooked up on a 25 pound grouper. After fishing at this spot with 4 fish in the icebox we moved on to another spot 7 miles away. We had a lot of luck at the second spot were we limited out in only an hour. Before we cruised in we had lunch and trolled for an hour and a half but had no luck. We got back to the dock around 4. We did a lot better than most people who went out because we beat them back to the dock. We cleaned the fish and headed home. Over all the trip was very successful and a lot of fun. We hope to go back out soon before snapper season opens back up and the boats start to multiply. This is what I encountered this weekend while fishing, hope it was helpful.

Good Fishing to all,
